Environmental Health Department <br />AMENDED <br />3/4/2021 <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />March 02, 2021 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 1230 S FAIRMONT AVE, LODI <br /> Facility Name: <br /> Pearl Crop - Lodi <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br />OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated that employees who handle hazardous <br />waste were properly trained. <br />- The secondary container under the 55-gallon drum of Perasan ‘A’ (a corrosive oxidizer) was nearly full of a <br />yellowish liquid. This is indicative that the facility's training did not include hazardous waste handling training. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br />waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br />emergencies. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br />waste. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 119 HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data in the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). <br />OBSERVATION: This business's hazardous waste activities have not been reported on the California <br />Environmental Reporting System (CERS) website. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Each regulated business shall report program data electronically on the CERS <br />website. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately report your business activities including the hazardous waste program on the <br />CERS website.
