Environmental Health Department <br />AMENDED <br />3/4/2021 <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />March 02, 2021 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 1230 S FAIRMONT AVE, LODI <br /> Facility Name: <br /> Pearl Crop - Lodi <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br />equipment. <br />OBSERVATION: <br />- The secondary container beneath the 55-gallon drum of Perasan A located in the cleaning area of facility was <br />nearly full with a yellowish liquid. <br />- The secondary container beneath the hazardous waste containers located in the hazardous storage shed <br />contained oily liquid. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All facility spill control equipment shall be maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br />operation in time of emergency. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the secondary container in the cleaning area and secondary container in the <br />hazardous waste storage area into proper working order by removing the liquid in the secondary containment and <br />placing in the proper waste container. Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage container was observed on-site: <br />- A partially full 20-gal container of hazardous waste ethyl alcohol solution located in the hazardous waste storage <br />shed was observed without a cap. <br /> <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br />storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br />when not adding or removing waste.
