Underground Service Alert(USA)was subsequently notified via their hotline
system and members marked their utilities within the delineations, where applicable. The locations of
members' utilities are shown on the geotechnical exploration site plan exhibits, Attachment 2. The
locations of the proposed CPTs are at distances greater than 5 feet from any marked utilities. However,
as an additional precaution, the upper five feet of each CPT location will be cleared using hand-powered
equipment. Within two weeks of performing the CPTs, all locations will be visited and if necessary,
delineations will be refreshed. USA will then be re-notified so that members can update or refresh utility
markings as necessary.
The CPT equipment is self-contained within a wheel-mounted box truck with a maximum height of 13
feet. No booms, towers, or other extensible components will be utilized. Therefore, no aspect of the
proposed field activities will conflict with any overhead utilities.
1.1.3 Traffic Control
Where traffic control measures are required, services will be provided by a licensed traffic
control contractor. For the locations listed below, site-specific traffic control plans have been
provided by a licensed civil engineer.
• DCCA1-CPT-033
• DCEA1-CPT-005
• DCEA1-CPT-009
• DCEA1-CPT-015
• DCEA1-CPT-022
For all other locations, traffic control measures for shoulder closures without encroachment, shoulder
closures with minor encroachment, and single lane closure will be performed in accordance with the
Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Typical Application (TA-) 3, TA-6, and TA-10,
respectively.
2
