EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE IN THE GENERAL AREA <br /> Neighboring properties are zoned for restaurant and automotive uses. Several liquid <br /> waste permits are on record at the EHD for installation of septic systems surrounding the <br /> subject property. <br /> 3.5. GENERAL AREA SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY <br /> The following is a summary of information based on new septic system installation permits <br /> currently on file with EHD. <br /> ADDRESS: 14569 Thornton Road <br /> LOCATION: Adjacent property to south (former Rocky's Restaurant) <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEM: 1) Permit date February 1984; installation of 8,000-gallon tank with <br /> five compartments and a filter bed leach field. 2) Permit date July 1988; repair/addition- <br /> add filter bed for treatment. 3) Permit date February 1999; repair/addition: add two 400- <br /> gallon distribution boxes and six leach lines. <br /> No additional liquid waste permits were on file at EHD for adjacent and close proximity <br /> properties. <br /> 3.6. PROPOSED MAXIMUM SEPTIC TANK USAGE ON SITE <br /> The septic system, including the new sump, will service the subject property and will be <br /> used by a maximum of 15 employees and the general public, 24 hours/day and 365 <br /> days/year; the facility is open 24 hours/day and seven days a week. <br /> Utilizing San Joaquin County OWTS Standards, the average and reasonable usage of <br /> 150 gallons per day (gpd) per restroom fixture is typical for the site setting. There are six <br /> (6) existing fixtures and five (5) additional fixtures planned to be installed (3 restrooms <br /> and 2 showers), for a total of eleven (11) restroom fixtures. <br /> The average and reasonable maximum usage of wastewater for the subject property is <br /> 150 gallons per day (gpd) per fixture, for a total of 1,650 gpd. <br />
