The septic system is permitted for a <br /> commercial property and is utilized 365 days/year (Figures 3 and 4; Appendix B). <br /> The proposed septic system will include the addition of a 6,400 W sump (20' x 40' x 8') to <br /> the existing septic system to accommodate the restroom and shower additions. The sump <br /> will be located in the northern portion of the planter area, to the east of the site building, <br /> and connected with a four-foot tight line to the eastern septic tanks. The septic system <br /> will be utilized 365 days a year by the subject property. <br /> 3.1 . EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> The septic system servicing the subject property consists of three 1,500-gallon septic <br /> tanks with two compartments, a distribution box, a tight line, and two 100-foot long leach <br /> lines. Two septic tanks are located to the east of the site building and the third tank and <br /> leach lines are located on the west side of the property, approximately 40 feet north of <br /> the truck repair building. The system is permitted for a commercial property and is utilized <br /> 24 hours/day, 365 days/year by approximately 15 employees and the general public <br /> (Figures 3 and 4; Appendix B). <br /> 3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY <br /> There are several liquid wastewater (septic) permits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) for the subject property, the following is a <br /> summary of the permits on file: <br /> • EHD Permit #21137, dated October 1966: Addition of one 60-foot long leach line <br /> and 240-cubic foot sump permitted for a commercial property. <br /> • EHD Permit #81-317, dated May 1981: New installation/replacement of a 1,000- <br /> gallon septic tank and two 70-foot long leach lines permitted for a commercial <br /> property. <br /> • EHD Permit #82-703, dated December 1982: Repair/addition of a 1,900-gallon <br /> septic tank and 1,200 square-foot filter bed permitted for a commercial property. <br /> • EHD Permit #90-2300, dated August 1990: Repair/addition of one 1,500-gallon <br /> septic tank and two 100-foot long leach lines permitted for a commercial property. <br /> Copies of the liquid waste permits are provided in Appendix B. <br /> 3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY <br /> There are two septic tank repair/addition permits on file at the EHD for the property, the <br /> following is a summary of the permits on file: <br />
