Inspec#iori ire ork Cbrnment§ .. °
Routine monthly inspection conducted on this date and the following was noted:
1. Previous violation regarding the feedstock piles not being continuously monitored for temperature has been
corrected. Documentation showing continuous monitoring was available for review.
2. There was separation between the unscreened greenwaste received and the stockpiled greenwaste.
3. The odor and fly population was light. Dust was minimal. The water truck was observed on site.
4. All records were available for review.
5. Facility is awaiting the test results for the latest compost sample submitted. *Note that the operator
on 7/6/15 emailed a copy of the test results. The results showed that the compost product met the
state standards.
6. The temperature range of the greenwaste and ground material was 90 F to 100 F and 103 F to 114 F
respectively. The temperature range of the windrows was 114 F to 120 F. The temperature range
of the pre-screened product and the screened product was 121 F to 123 F and 112 F to 140 F
respectively. The temperature of the overs and hogfuel was 108 F and 99 F respectively.
7. There are piles of pre-screened product near the north perimeter fence, along Frewert Road. It is
recommended that piles not be stored so close to the perimeter fence so as to prevent a possible
scenario where the public could ignite the piles.
