Abandoned USTs are <br /> those that were not closed according to Health and Safety Code, chapter 6.7, <br /> section 25298, and California Code of Regulations, title 23, division 3, chapter 16, <br /> article 7. <br /> Based on a search of publicly available records, you are the responsible party for the four <br /> single-walled USTs located at 2070 South EI Dorado Street, Stockton (Site). The State <br /> Water Board has identified the following violation at your Site, pursuant to Health and <br /> Safety Code section 25298 and California Code of Regulations, title 23, chapter 16: <br /> Health and Safety Code Section 25298 — Abandonment, Closing, or Temporary <br /> Ceasing of Operation of UST <br /> You are directed to properly close and/or remove the USTs at your Site and <br /> conduct a site assessment to determine whether there was an unauthorized release <br /> into the soil and/or groundwater from the former USTs. Within sixty (60) days of <br /> the date of this letter, August 23, 2021, you are required to: <br /> 1) Obtain a permit from your local Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA), the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health, to conduct a UST removal and Site <br /> Assessment.
