FLINN <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />MANUELLOPEZ <br />DEPUTY DIRECTOR <br />in accordance with provisions set forth in Part B (Discharge <br />Specifications) of the Waste Discharge Requirements for the Corral <br />Hollow Sanitary Landfill, the following Winterization Plan is <br />submitted for review: <br />I. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WINTER DISPOSAL SITE <br />The Winterization Plan will span the winter season of 1994-95. <br />Operations will begin in the fall of 1994 and extend through the <br />spring of 1995. The winter pad and the area to receive waste <br />during this time is shown on the attached map. The estimated <br />amount of waste to be received during the winter period is based on <br />a five-month period. The amount of waste to be received is <br />approximately 183,000 cubic yards. Applying a compaction factor of <br />.4 including daily cover, the necessary airspace for the winter <br />season is approximately 74,000 cubic yards. The remaining landfill <br />airspace is sufficient to handle the winter season volume. The <br />Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill will stop receiving waste in the <br />spring of 1995. Upon completion of the winter fill area, final <br />grades and slopes will be completed in accordance with final <br />grading plans for the landfill. <br />
