STATE OF CALIFORNIA Pete Wilson, Governor
CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD
8800 Cal Center Drive
Sacramento, California 95826
Ron Valinoti, Director
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Division
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Review of Draft Solid Waste Facility Permit and 1988
Report of Facility Information for Corral Hollow
Sanitary Landfill, Facility No. 39 -AA -0005.
Dear Mr. Valinoti:
Board staff has reviewed the draft permit and accompanying
documents for the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill and our
comments are as follow.
Draft Solid Waste Facility Permit
1. Section 4, Name and Mailing Address of Owner. Part II of the
1988 RFI identifies the owner as being the City of Tracy and San
Joaquin County. Is this information current? If so, that
information needs to be included in this section.
2. Section 5(c), Tons per Operating Day. The total tonnage is
specified as being 331 Tons/Day. When tonnage is broken down, it
reads 331 Tons/Day for Non -hazardous -General, 331 Tons/Day for
Non -hazardous -separated or commingled recyclables, and 331
Tons/Day of Non -hazardous -Other. If this is the case, should the
total tonnage add up to the broken down wastes? Or should the
line for Non -hazardous -General be 331 tons/day and the other
lines "None"? Please clarify.
3. Section 5(d), Permitted Traffic Volume. Same comment as
before. For example, the total Traffic Volume is specified as
being 640 Vehicles/Day. When the traffic volume is broken down,
it does not reflect the Total Vehicles/Day. Please clarify.
4. Section 13(c), Compliance with Minimum Standards. When the
proposed permit is submitted, include the date of the most recent
inspection verifying compliance with State Minimum Standards.
5. Section 13(e), Environmental Documentation. When the
proposed permit is submitted, include a copy of the Notice of
Determination.
-- Printed on Recycled Paper --
