Box 1810 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> 8800 Cal Center Drive <br /> Sacramento, CA 95826 <br /> (916)255-2200 RE: Approval of Final Closure Certification and Disbursement of Funds for <br /> Closure Activities, Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill, San Joaquin County, <br /> Facility No. 39-AA-0005 <br /> Dear Mr. Horton: <br /> Staff of the California Integrated Waste Management Board(IWMB)has <br /> reviewed the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill final closure certification report <br /> dated May 1996 (received June 3, 1996). <br /> IWMB staff has found that the certification meets the requirements set forth in <br /> Title 14, California Code of Regulations (14 CCR), Division 7, Chapter 5,Article <br /> 3.4, Section 18275, and is hereby approved. Please work directly with the San <br /> Joaquin County Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency(LEA)to ensure that the <br /> approved postclosure maintenance plan is implemented as required. <br /> According to 14 CCR,Article 3.5, Section 18298, San Joaquin County(County) <br /> is released from the requirements of demonstrating financial assurances for <br /> closure of the landfill. By copy of this letter to the Auditor-Controller,the IWMB <br /> authorizes release of the remaining closure funds. The County, however, is <br /> required to maintain financial assurances for postclosure maintenance until the <br /> IWMB determines that the County has completed postclosure maintenance <br /> according to the applicable postclosure plan.
