County will continue gas testing on a quarterly basis to monitor the effects of final cover <br />installation on gas migration. Effects of gas migration are expected to be minimal due to the <br />desolate location of the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill. The only residence in the area is <br />approximately one mile from the site. <br />The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill has two on-site structures: a gatehouse and an equipment <br />shed. These structures were monitored for methane on 6/11/96. The methane reading was <br />0% of LEL for both buildings. Both buildings are unoccupied.
