Page'6 of 6 <br />V A C V = VIOLATION A = AREA OF CONCERN C = COMPLIANCE <br />14 CCR 17711 Litter <br />At the time of this inspection, litter was observed at the top lift (southwest corner) near <br />the active face and along the southern perimeter fence. Although work crews later picked up <br />much of this litter, this area of concern was noted. Pursuant to this section, litter and <br />loose materials shall be routinely collected and disposed of properly. The collection <br />frequency shall be set with the objective of preventing the accumulations of quantities <br />which are esthetically objectionable or cause other problems. <br />Summary: This pre -permit inspection has revealed that the operator has made much effort to <br />come into compliance with the State Minimum Standards (SMS) since the State annual <br />inspection in March 1993. Since March 1993, the operator has corrected the following SMS <br />violations: <br />14 CCR 17616 Report of Disposal Site Information <br />14 CCR 17682 Cover* <br />Further, the following "Areas of Concern" have been addressed: <br />14 CCR.17628 General Design Parameters <br />14 CCR 17710 Grading of Fill Surfaces <br />14 CCR 18255 Closure/Postclosure Maintenance Plans <br />* The operator is working on the cover issue; however, more effort needs to be made in this <br />area. <br />El <br />Associate Waste Management Specialist L"I <br />
