Dispenser and Product Line Soil Sampling Results Report
Panella Trucking, Inc., 5000 E. Fremont St., Stockton, California
Page 2
Laboratory results showed sample EX -1- 10 to be below laboratory lower detection limits of 1
mg/Kg motor oil (Tables 1).
Additionally, two 4:1 composite soil sample (SP -1 — SP -4 COMP) and (EX -(A -B) — (C -D)
COMP)) were collected from the soil stockpile generated during the upgrade activities to profile
the excavated soils for disposal purposes.
Analytical Methods
The soil samples were collected in accordance with Apex Standard Operating Procedures
(Appendix A) and transported under chain -of -custody (COC) documentation to California
Laboratory Services of Rancho Cordova, California, a State -certified analytical laboratory, and
analyzed for the constituents listed below:
Analysis
Abbreviation
Designation
USEPA Method No.
Extractable Petroleum
Motor Oil Range
TPHmo
8015M
Hydrocarbons Motor Oil
Hydrocarbons
Total Petroleum
Diesel Range
TPHd
8015M
Hydrocarbons as Diesel
Hydrocarbons
Benzene
BTEX
Aromatic
Volatile
8260B
Toluene
Eth (benzene
Organics
Xylenes Total
CAM 5 Metals
6000/7000 Series
The two stockpiles analytical results were utilized by Panella for soil disposal profiling. The one
stockpile associated with sample SP -1 -SP -4 Comp was disposed of at Forward Landfill in
Manteca (Forward).
The second stockpile associated with sample EX -(A -B) — (C -D) was analyzed for Fish Toxicity
at the request from Forward Landfill (96 -hour survival Fathead Minnows). This test showed the
soils to be Non -Hazardous (Table 2). This stockpile was then disposed of at Forward. The
laboratory analytical reports and chain -of -custody forms are included as Appendix B.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
Based on soil laboratory analytical results, the maximum concentration of TPHmo and TPHd
was detected at 12,000 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg), and 110 mg/kg, respectively. The
TPHmo maximum concentration soil samples D-24', PL -104' and EX -1-7'. The TPHd
maximum concentration soil sample PL -1-4'.
TPHmo and TPHd concentrations were reported in stockpile sample SP -1 -SP -4 COMP at 170
and 150 mg/kg, respectively. TPHmo concentrations were reported in stockpile sample EX -(A-
B) -(C -D) COMP at 16,000 mg/Kg. The remaining constituents in both stockpile samples were
reported below laboratory detection limits. Analytical results are summarized on Tables 1, 2 and
3.
Panella Trucking is currently processing disposal with Forward Inc Landfill, Manteca, CA
