i& TUBE 2Q'd HAZARDOUS WASTE PROGPANI
CORE T EAM TF?AINI IG GUIDE
— Show me all of your hazardous waste manifests.
Answer.• Pull copies of the Hazardous Waste Manifests from the Hazardous Waste
Program binder (maintained on-site for 3 years).
Which employees have been trained on hazardous waste handling? Show me their
records. (The inspector may also ask to speak to your employees to gauge their
training and knowledge.)
Answer. All employees who handle hazardous wastes and supervisors of employees
who handle hazardous wastes receive hazardous waste training. (Pull the hazardous
waste training records from the Hazardous Waste Program binder. The sign -offs and
documents must be maintained on-site for 3 years).
Note: An inspector may also look in your trash or dumpster to check for unsaleable
product or hazardous waste disposed of improperly.
Be sure your Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) is in the Emergency Action
Plan Manual. Often, the inspector already knows whether or not your plan has been filed
or recertified - but he/she may ask anyway. Review your plan at least once a year to
ensure it is current. Immediately report any changes in contact information or hazardous
waste inventory to Compliance.
If you have had or are having an inspection, contact Compliance. You may also give
the inspector the phone numbers for Debra Parker at (209) 574-6299, ext 5213; or Sherry
Aebersold at (209) 548-6569.
After an inspection
After the inspection is complete, notify your Senior Director of Operations and the
Compliance Department. Fax or email any inspection paperwork to Compliance, ATTN: Tina
Ramirez, and copy your Senior Director of Operations and Sherry Aebersold. Be sure to
include the name and phone number of the inspector.
Contacts
If you have any questions about potentially hazardous waste or the Hazardous Waste
Program, contact StrongPak. If you need further information or clarification, you may also
contact Compliance.
Strong Pak Save Mart Hot Line: 1-877-597-9580
• Compliance
— Debra Parker: dparkertc7i.savemart.com or (209) 574-6299 ext. 5213
Sherry Aebersold: saebersold(psavemart.com or (209) 548-6569
S'ALfE NfAL`vi 59.CEEett+iti6t4E'FS
iF5'6'E@DE[B Fri; EiFSEi:ftiA F,tSE EiiCL?P
