As needed, discard any form older than three years in <br />the appropriate shred receptacle. <br />Hazardous Materials Business Plan <br />The Hazardous Materials Business Plan is astore-specific document used by first <br />responders should an incident or emergency occur at your store. It declares what type of <br />business your store is, what potentially hazardous materials are in your store, and where <br />they are located. Compliance will provide an updated plan to your store on an annual basis. <br />The current Hazardous Materials Business Plan is maintained in the store's red Emergency <br />Action Plan Manual. <br />Emergency contact list <br />An emergency contact list, noting the Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager as <br />Emergency Coordinators, must be posted by the Pharmacy phone. <br />Agency inspections <br />The local agency (e.g., Fire Department, Health Department) will conduct inspections of <br />your store's hazardous <br />ompliance, waste accumulation area and handling procedures to ensure <br />c <br />Preparing for an inspection <br />You may or may not know when an inspection will occur; therefore, it is critical to remain <br />prepared for an inspection at any time. <br />• Complete weekly inspections using the Weekly Hazardous Waste Storage Area <br />Inspection form. Keep the current form on a clipboard in the accumulation area, and <br />completed forms in the Weekly Inspection Forms tab of the Hazardous Waste Program <br />— Pharmacy binder. <br />Review the local agency inspection form you have been provided. Knowing what is <br />on the form will ensure you're in compliance and prepared for an inspection.
