Issued notice to abate to owner and let Maria know that they AFONSKAIA
should get a C-57 well contractor to take a look at the well as soon as possible to
either get it repaired up to the well standards or destroyed under permit. I let her
know that any well work can only be done by a C-57 licensed holder. They should
try to get the well secured with a watertight cover immediately in the meantime.
The pedestal appeared to be incorrectly installed as the well casing was no visible
above the pedestal and the pedestal was covering some of the well.
Put in complaint at the office.
08/27/2020 Called owner and left a voicemail to cover well with watertight cover immediately AFONSKAIA
and to contact a C-57 well contractor to evaluate the well and determine if it should
be repaired under permit or destroyed under permit. Emailed her daughter a link to
the C-57 licensed holders on our website and re-iterated what I said in the
voicemail.
09/01/2020 Jesus, who said he was a builder for the owner, called and asked what was the
issue with the well and how they could fix it. I let him know that an open well is in
violation of our standards and because of the unique situation of the well the
owner will have to get a C-57 licensed well contractor evaluate the condition of the
well and either repair the well under permit so that it meets the well standards or
destroy it under permit depending on their findings. I let him know that we have a
list of C-57 licensed contractors on on website and although it does not have all
the contractors and some may not do well work we recommend that the owners
call several contractors and get quotes to determine what would work best for
them. He asked if the owner could just put concrete over the hole and I told him
that that would no meet our standards and that they should should a licensed well
contractor take a look at the well and determine how to bring the well up to the
standards.
09/15/2020 Vail 26515. Krystal of Castle called; owner wants to bring the well back into
service, but the pump is already in. Told her to pull a pump repair permit to repair
the concrete pad and fix the sampling tap, that way when the inspector goes out to
do the pump inspection, we can just abate the complaint as well. Non billed.
AFONSKAIA
WONG
5105 rpt Page 1 of 2
