Construction Quality Assurance A) Plan Extension of Closure Cap <br /> Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill August 21,2008 <br /> 2.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> 2.' Meetings <br /> In order to facilitate construction, and to clearly define construction goals and <br /> activities, close coordination between the owner, design engineer(s), CQA organization, <br /> and Contractor is essential. To meet this objective, pre-construction and progress <br /> meetings will be held. <br /> 2.1.1 Pre-Construction Meeting <br /> Following bid award, a pre-construction meeting will be held at the site. The purpose <br /> of this meeting, attended by the owner, Contractor, design engineer(s), CQA <br /> organization, agencies, and others designated by the owner, will be to: <br /> ♦ Review the construction P <br /> drawings, specifications, CQA Plan, work area <br /> security, health and safety procedures, and related issues. <br /> ♦ Provide all parties with relevant project documents. <br /> ♦ Review responsibilities and qualifications of each party. <br /> ♦ Define lines of communication and authority. <br /> ♦ Establish reporting and documenting procedures. <br /> ♦ Review procedures for handling submittals. <br /> ♦ Review testing equipment and procedures. <br /> ♦ Review procedures for field directives and change orders. <br /> ♦ Establish testing protocols and procedures for correcting and documenting <br /> construction or non-conformance. <br /> ♦ Establish a weekly meeting schedule. <br /> ♦ Conduct a site inspection to discuss work areas, stockpile areas, lay down <br /> areas, access roads, haul roads, and related items. <br /> ♦ Review the project schedule and critical path items. <br /> ♦ Review the Contractor's work plan. <br /> The meeting will be documented by the CQA Officer.
