Construction Quality Assurance( )Plan Extension of Closure Cap <br /> Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill August 21,2008 <br /> 2.5 Construction Monitoring <br /> 2.5.1 Monitoring Priorities <br /> Before commencement of construction, the CQA Manager will establish a list of <br /> monitoring priorities. The list shall include the various construction activities and the <br /> monitoring priority of those activities. The monitoring priorities may change during <br /> construction, based upon Contractor performance and owner request. Changes in the <br /> monitoring priorities must be approved by the CQA Manager. <br /> 2.5.2 Discrepancies <br /> All CQA testing must be conducted in accordance with this CQA Plan, the document <br /> that requires the most frequent tests or has more stringent test requirements will <br /> govern, unless otherwise specified by the CQA Manager. <br /> 2.6 Materials Quality Verification <br /> 2.6.1 General <br /> Material sources will be identified and samples tested to determine if the material <br /> meets project specifications for specific work elements. Definitions and requirements of <br /> materials are provided in the technical specifications. Test samples will be obtained in <br /> accordance with applicable ASTM and/or industry standards. Archive samples and <br /> test results of the test samples will be maintained and stored at the project site. The <br /> CQA Monitors will establish and maintain a materials quality verification list. The <br /> list will include material sources, sample locations, testing requirements, test results, <br /> and verification action items. <br /> 2.6.2 Material Submittals <br /> Material submittals may be used by the CQA organization to establish the <br /> acceptability of materials. When sample submittals are required, they will be made <br /> available to the CQA organization by the Contractor.
