The Subcontractor shall install and
develop six monitoring wells, five injection wells, and two extraction wells. Installations will be
conducted using a roto-sonic drill rig. Field activities are currently scheduled as follows:
• Well Installation: 6/16/2017
• Well Development:At least 2 days after final well installation
• Start Time: 7:00 am (Pacific Time)
Well Installation:
• The surface at the site varies from asphalt to dirt. Please bring a coring device in case it is
needed.
• Continuously core borings using roto-sonic drilling method.
• Decontaminate all downhole equipment between borings using a steam cleaner.
• Water is not available at the site; a hydrant is located at the corner of Irene and South Argonaut
Street. Please coordinate water access, whether getting a hydrant meter from the City of
Stockton, or providing enough water for the scope of work.
• Power is not available at the Site. Therefore, please include a generator, if necessary.
V • Soil IDW will be transferred to a soil roll-off bin stored in a central location at the site. Please
( bring a forklift with hopper. Forklift rental is available near Site at Holt Rental.
5 v • Non-silty water IDW can be transferred to on-Site storage tanks via pump.
• The 6 proposed monitoring wells -3 shallow groundwater zone wells to approximately 30 ft bgs
' (MW-E, MW-F, and MW-G) and 3 deeper groundwater zone wells to approximately 80 ft bgs
(MW-B, MW-C, and MW-D) will be constructed of 2-inch diameter Schedule (Sch)-40 PVC casing
with Sch-40 PVC 0.010-inch slotted screen.
• The 5 proposed deeper groundwater zone injection wells to 80 ft bgs (IW-B, IW-C, IW-D, IW-E,
and IW-F) will be constructed of 2-inch diameter Sch-80 PVC casing and stainless steel wire-
wrapped 0.02-inch slotted well screen.
• The 2 proposed deeper groundwater zone extraction wells to approximately 80 ft bgs (EW-A and
EW-B) will be constructed of 4-inch diameter Sch-80 PVC casing and stainless steel wire-
wrapped 0.01-inch slotted well screen. A two foot sump will be installed beneath the well
screen.
• Well screens are anticipated to be 10 to 15 ft in length for monitoring wells, and 15 to 20 ft in
length for injection and extraction wells. Please bring enough screen in case we decide to place
up to 20 ft of screen at each monitoring location and 25 feet of screen at each injection and
extraction location.
• Total boring depths for shallow groundwater wells will be approximately 30 ft bgs, but please
bring enough materials in the event that we would need to drill and install wells as deep as 45 ft
bgs.
• Total boring depths for deeper groundwater wells will be approximately 80 ft bgs, but please
bring enough materials in the event that we would need to drill and install wells as deep as 100
ft bgs.
• Drilling will be done in a telescoping fashion to case off the shallower sand zones, therefore,
please bring the following:
o At least 60 ft of 6-inch ID casing
