Site Safety and Health Plan <br />Stockton Field Maintenance Shop #24 <br />8020 Airport Way, Stockton, CA <br />recommend corrective actions for identified deficiencies and oversee the corrective actions. <br />The SSHO will provide continued support for upgrading/downgrading of the level of personal <br />protection. The SSHO will be responsible for evaluating air monitoring data and recommending <br />changes to engineering controls, work practices and PPE. <br />2.5 EMPLOYEES <br />As required: Obey safety and health work practices issued by law and by the project team. <br />Read and understand the SSHP. Wear PPE as directed by this SSHP. Use safety equipment <br />as directed by this SSHP. Inform the SSHO of any prescription medication taken during the <br />project. Report recognized unsafe conditions and actions to the SSHO. Employees will report <br />any accidents, exposures, near misses or property damage immediately. <br />2.6 VISITORS <br />Follow the direction of the SSHO and read and understand the SSHP. Do not enter the work <br />zones unless documentation of the appropriate OSHA-required training and medical monitoring <br />has been obtained, submitted to the SSHO and you have been authorized to enter work zones. <br />Use designated PPE, as appropriate. Use safety equipment as directed by this SSHP. Report <br />recognized unsafe conditions and actions to the SSHO. Visitors will report any accidents, <br />exposures, near misses or property damage immediately. <br /> <br />2.7 PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS <br />All personnel performing work in the designated restricted areas and exclusion zones must have <br />received the mandatory health and safety training. Training includes 40-hour Hazardous Waste <br />Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training with current 8-hour refresher <br />training. In addition, each worker must have a current medical surveillance examination and a <br />respirator fit test. An 8-hour Supervisor course and current CPR/First-Aid certification are <br />required for the SSHO. Evidence of current training should be readily available. <br /> <br />2.8 WORK STOPPAGE AUTHORITY <br />The SSHO and PM will have the authority to make on-the-spot corrections dealing with <br />deviations from the SSHP.
