Site Safety and Health Plan <br />Stockton Field Maintenance Shop #24 <br />8020 Airport Way, Stockton, CA <br />3.0 SITE DESCRIPTION AND CONTAMINANT CHARACTERIZATION <br /> <br />3.1 SITE DESCRIPTION <br />3.1.1 Site Objective <br />The objective of this project is to determine if there are potential vapor intrusion risks in <br />occupied buildings at the subject site. <br />3.1.2 Sampling Requirements <br />Star will install four temporary soil gas probes, sample them, and then destroy them. Sampling <br />will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline (TPHg) and volatile organic <br />compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method TO-15 and TPH as diesel (TPHd) by EPA Method TO-17. <br />All activities must be pre-approved by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />(CVRWQCB). <br />3.1.3 Locations of Resources Available to Onsite Personnel <br />Toilet facilities: Toilets will be available onsite by Star. <br />Drinking water supply: Site workers will carry drinking water for each work day. <br />Telephone/Radio: A cellular telephone will be in possession of Star's FTL. <br /> <br />3.2 CONTAMINANT CHARACTERIZATION <br />Total petroleum hydrocarbons and VOCs are identified contaminants of concern (COC) at the <br />site that have resulted from former leaky underground storage tanks, and they will be the focus <br />of safety and health efforts during monitoring activities. <br /> <br />3.3 SITE FIELD ACTIVITIES <br />Install four temporary soil gas probes; <br />Sample four temporary soil gas probes; and <br />Destroy four temporary soil gas probes. <br />Star Resources Corp 11
