The 'T fitting must be verified by this department. Also, if the covers/grates to be <br />installed require sumps, they must be verified by this department. <br />2. All return lines and skimmer lines must be hydraulically balanced. <br />3. All suction outlets must be hydraulically balanced and symmetrically plumbed through <br />one or more 'T fittings, and separated by a distance of at least three feet in any <br />direction between the suction outlets. <br />4. Provide the EHD with a photometric plan of the deck area. An adequate amount of <br />deck lighting shall be provided, which is at least three-foot candles. <br />5. The lights in the pool shall be protected by a ground -fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). This <br />will be inspected by the City or County Building Department. <br />6. All deck areas must have a slope of no less than 1 percent (1/8 -inch per foot) but no <br />more than 2 percent (1/4 -inch per foot) away from the pool. <br />7. All pumps, filters, chemical feeders, disinfectant feeders, skimmers and supplemental <br />equipment shall comply with the applicable requirements established by the NSF/ANSI <br />50-2012. <br />8. Gates and doors shall be equipped with self-closing and self -latching devices to keep <br />them securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outwardly away from the pool except <br />where otherwise prohibited by law. Hand activated door or gate opening hardware shall <br />be located at a height no lower than 42 inches but no higher than 44 inches above the <br />deck or walkway. The pool enclosure shall have a least one means of egress without a <br />key for emergency purposes. Gates shall meet 3119B.2 of California Building Code, <br />1868 E.
