A means to limit hot water to <br />110°F maximum shall be provided to prevent scalding. <br />10.A flowmeter must be installed on a horizontal straight run of pipe with a minimum of 10 <br />pipe diameters before and 4 pipe diameters after the flowmeter. It should be positioned <br />after the filter and before the heater. I may be installed after the heater, if a great <br />enough distance can be maintained so that heated water will not damage the <br />flowmeter. <br />11.A minimum continuous and unobstructed 4 foot wide slip -resistant non-abrasive deck <br />area of concrete or like material shall be provided flushed with the top of the pool shell <br />wall extending completely around the pool and the deck area shall further extend 4 feet <br />on both sides and rear of any diving board. Concrete decks shall have a medium <br />broom finish. <br />12. All requirements of the pool construction in accordance to California Building Code, <br />Title 24. <br />13. The sump for backwashing the filtration system must have enough capacity. Provide <br />calculations for the sump to this department. <br />14. An adequate number of hose bibs are required in the pool area in sufficient numbers to <br />allow a 75 ft. hose to reach all areas of the pool deck. Each hose bib must be protected <br />by an approved backflow device. <br />15. The fountain at the spa is not allowed. <br />Any item(s) inadvertently overlooked on the plan check may be cause for reconstruction at the <br />pool.
