t)
NEGATIVE DECLARATION
2
WILLIAM LONG, SCOTT LONG, AND
LONG RANCH, INC.
WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITY
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
The potential for deterioration of groundwater quality will be mitigated by using the existing
holding pond which has been sealed with solids that have settled and compacted. Further, the base
of the holding pond is greater than 5 feet above groundwater. Groundwater monitoring will be
required to assure that degradation does not occur.
The creation of any health hazard or potential health hazard will be mitigated as the discharge of
hazardous waste is prohibited. Other mitigation measures include installation of fencing and
warning signs around the holding pond to prohibit access, and the use of spray and bait, and
covering stored manure to control flies.
The project involves no potential for any significant adverse effects, either individually or
cumulatively, on wildlife resources. Copies of the Negative Declaration and the Report of Waste
Discharge can be obtained by request to the Regional Board, which is the Lead Agency. Requests
should be addressed to:
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road, Suite A
Sacramento, California 95829-3003
(916) 255-3000
ROBERT J.
