Hazelton Ave
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Ms.Aguirre,
i am writing this letter in response to discussions we had on June 4 and lune 9,2021,with the County
CAO Office,Community Development, County Public Works and Catellus Stockton, LLC(Catellus)
regarding the placement of new stormwater detention basins proposed by Catellus, as part of the larger
Alrpark 599 project. Additionally,we reviewed the previously discussed requirement for necessary
offsets along the Airport perimeter fence to meet TSA security guidelines,
After discussing the proposed areas Fpr the new stormwater basin(s) on June 4, a review of AC
150/5200-33C and "Wildlife Management at Alrports",and consultation with the FAA ADO
environmental specialist, the following items are presented:
1. The basins must be placed as far away from the Airport Operating Area as possible. This means
the original location closest to Highway 99.
2. Catellus needs to file a 7460-1 with the SF ADO office.
3. An assessment must be completed by a certified Wildlife Biologist. Biologist must meet the
requirements contained in AC 150/5200-36,
4. The County Permitting Agency will include conditions for monitoring and mitigation measures
for the proposed stormwater basins.
5, Meet requirements contained in AC 150/5200-33C.
As discussed, if these items, and any items highlighted by the FAA ADO cannot be accomplished, the
Stockton Airport cannot support this project,
Regarding the offset requirements for the perimeter fence and the proposed project location,Catellus
and the Airport have been coordinating these items. Attached is a diagram of the areas of concern
discussed in our recent meetings,
As we have previously discussed regarding the maintenance agreement for the traffic signal located at
Arch Airport and Pock Lane, the Airport maintains this roadway,as well as B Street and Earhart Avenue,
and as this will become a primary entrance/exit for construction and eventually truck and auto traffic,
road repairs will he required on a much more frequent basis, without any additional revenue from the
additional traffic.
With this in mind, the Airport feels that entering into a maintenance agreement for the traffic signal
located at Arch and Pock Lane will add undo expense to the Airport, and this agreement should be
handled and entered into by the County or Catellus.
Phone(209)468,4700 5000 S.Airport Way,5uIte 202 ` F LYS TO C KTO N.C O M
Fax(209)468.4T Stockton,CA 95206.3996 1
