From each of the soil borings for the monitoring wells, two relatively undisturbed soil samples
will be collected from near the ground surface (0 to 6 inches bgs), and from the capillary fringe (expected
between 7 to 10 feet bgs). Soil samples collected from monitoring wells installed downgradient of the
proposed copper concentrate (MW-3) and existing petroleum coke stockpiles (MW-4) will be analyzed
for the for the following constituents:
Cam Metals - STLC's - EPA 6010 or 200.7;
Chlorinated Pesticides - EPA 8080;
Organophosphate Pesticides - EPA 8140;
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons - EPA 418.1;
Purgeable Halocarbons - EPA 8240; and
Purgeable Aromatic Halocarbons - EPA 8270.
Soil samples collected from the background (MW-1) and proposed sulphur storage area (MW-2)
monitoring wells will be analyzed for the constituents listed above plus the following:
Elemental Sulphur - EPA 6010; and
Sulphates - EPA 9030.
Groundwater samples will be analyzed for the following constituents:
CAM metals - Tmc - EPA 6010 or 200.7;
Chlorinated Pesticides and PCB's - EPA 608;
Organophosphate Pesticides - EPA 614;
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) - EPA 418.1;
Purgeable Halocarbons - EPA 601;
Purgeable Aromatic Halocarbons - EPA 602;
Elemental Sulphur - EPA 6010;
Sulfates - EPA 300; and
Sulfides - EPA 376.2.
PROP06.005 5
DAMES & MOORE
