The scope of work included the disposal of septic tank
contents, soil sample collection and analysis, and preparation of this report. Background information
was included in the AGE-prepared Limited Site Assessment Work Plan (Septic Tank Area), dated 15
May 2006 and approved by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) on 07
June 2006. The location of the site is indicated on (Figure 1).
SEPTIC WASTE DISPOSAL
The on-site septic tank and contents were treated with a 30 gallon, 12.5% mixture of hypochlorite
solution (approximate ratio of 1 gallon per 35 gallons of septic waste) to kill coliform bacteria. On
04 January 2008, the treated contents of the septic tank were pumped from the holding tank into an
Advanced Chemical Transport, Inc. vacuum truck and hauled to the Evergreen Oil, Inc. Waste
Treatment, Storage, and Disposal facility in Newark, California. A total of 900 gallons was
transported and disposed of under hazardous waste manifest 13225. A copy of the manifest is
included in Appendix A.
SUBSURFACE FIELD PROCEDURES
A subsurface investigation was conducted, in accordance with the Limited Site Assessment Work
Plan (Septic Tank Area), to collect and analyze soil samples from beneath the septic tank and the
bottom of the seepage pit of the on-site residential septic system. On 04 February 2008, a Well
Boring Permit Application was submitted and approved. On 06 February 2008, an AGE
representative was on-site to locate the sampling point required by the EHD.
837 Shaw Road, Stockton, California 952! 5
Telephone (209) 467-1006 Fax (209) 467-1118
