Mattu [EH]
Subject: RE: AGE Workplan 500 E. Louise Ave
Mr. Harprit Mattu and Robert McCellon:
AGE has updated the Site Specific Health and Safety plan for the excavation work. The scope of
work within a HSP is somewhat variable and designated personnel or staff might change with
mobilization. To that end, the operator of the excavation tooling is to be determined. However, the
HSP is reviewed in the field and signed or perfected on-site, which is the typical use of a HSP. All
workers will be 40-Hour hazardous waste operator trained, as required under the workplan.
Additionally, AGE attempted to clarify the scope of waste disposal within the workplan. Previous
inspections might have depicted glass waste, however, analysis of the subsurface soil column (the
report was attached and provided to your office for review) did not indicate a considerable volume
(vertically) of waste glass debris; glass waste and random waste which is not glass rather trash or
deconstruction refuse from the factory, will be disposed at a landfill. Additionally, there were no
concentrations of chemicals which could be characterized as hazardous waste. However, samples
will be collected (stockpiled waste is appropriated detected) to verify the findings of this proposed
trenching examination and reconnaissance.
Attached are the two documents for the project. AGE would be planning to schedule this investigation
within the next three weeks. Please call me if you have any questions.
2
