Tucker, Water Resource Control Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: HARNEY LANE LANDFILL GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> (PROGRAM NUMBER 87-088) FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER 1989 <br /> Dear Mr. Tucker: <br /> This report is submitted to comply with the Monitoring and Reporting <br /> Program for the Class III Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill, San Joaquin <br /> County. The program requires (1) refuse monitoring (2) surface water <br /> monitoring, and (3) groundwater monitoring. The results of the <br /> monitoring for the fourth quarter of 1989, are given below. <br /> Refuse Monitoring: <br /> Quantity Type of Location and Min. <br /> 1989 Discharged* Material Elevation of <br /> Month (Cubic Yards) Discharged Discharge <br /> September 61,003 Refuse 100 <br /> October 60,867 Refuse 100 <br /> November 55,828 Refuse 100 <br /> *Quantities shown are incoming gate quantities. <br /> Surface Water Monitoring: <br /> As previously reported, the County has continued to monitor the <br /> detention basin pumps for automatic discharge. However, due to the <br /> large capacity of the basin and the storage space available beneath <br /> the discharge pump level for siltation, the automatic sensing pumps <br /> did not discharge landfill storm water to South Paddy Creek during <br /> the fourth quarter sampling period.
