Black Oak Estates
Page No. 3
On some of the lots it may be desirable to shorten the length of the leach lines in order to
accommodate a particular house/lot geometry. By adding a second 1200 gallon septic tank in
tandem with the first tank then a significant reduction of suspended solids will be achieved. Due
to this reduction the absorption rates of the leach lines should increase. Consequently it is
proposed that the recommended leach line requirements be reduced by 25%.
It also may be necessary to include a lift station in the design if the proposed house
geometry or the system layout is not able to obtain the required gravity drainage.
Due to the 1.0 acre size of the subject lots it is proposed that a duel leach field and dry
well system be installed with valves located at the septic tank capable of switching between the
fields.
The attached drawing shows requirements and details for proposed septic systems for the
subject development.
Very truly yours,
NEIL O.
