10. All accidents, no matter how minor, must be reported immediately to the <br /> Site Safety Officer. <br /> C: Decontamination Procedures (Personnel and Equipment) <br /> 1. Personnel decontamination procedures will be required when personnel <br /> use Level "C" or higher levels of protection. <br /> 2. Dry wipe samples prior to packaging. <br /> 3. Brush clean the sampling equipment and rinse with distilled water or other <br /> cleaning solution. <br /> 4. Wipe clean the monitoring equipment. <br /> 5. Equipment will be brushed clean and/or pressure-washed if heavily <br /> contaminated. <br /> 6. Decontamination will be performed in a manner that minimizes waste <br /> generation. <br /> 7. Containment systems will be set up as necessary for collection of decon <br /> solutions. <br /> 8. Spent decon solutions will be contained in drums or portable tanks and <br /> disposed of as waste, if applicable. <br /> 9. Do not walk through areas of obvious or known contamination, and do not <br /> ` handle or touch contaminated materials directly. <br /> 10. Make sure all PPE has no cuts or tears prior to donning. <br /> 11. Fasten all closures on suits, covering with tape, if necessary. <br /> 12. Care should be taken to limit the extent that a piece of equipment comes <br /> into contact with contamination. <br /> SECTION 7.0 <br /> EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> A: Site Emergency Warning System <br /> Several warning systems will be utilized depending on the work site conditions or <br /> emergency involved: <br /> 1. Verbal communications. <br /> 2. Air horns. <br /> Verbal instructions with or without assistance will be used to deal with specific incidents. <br /> Horn signals will be used to signify an emergency warning. <br />
