Work Plan for Environmental Investigation June 21, 1989 <br /> Waterfront Redevelopment, Stockton, California AGS 39048-1W <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The property consists of three separate parcels which are on the <br /> southeast and southwest corners of the intersection of West Weber <br /> Avenue and North Lincoln Street in Stockton, California. The <br /> location of the parcels are shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate <br /> P-1) . The legal description of the properties are assessor' s <br /> parcel numbers 137-260-08 , 137-360-40, and 137-260-07 of San <br /> Joaquin County, California. The property is approximately 300 to <br /> 500 feet south of the Stockton Deep Water Channel at an elevation <br /> of approximately 13 feet above mean sea level . <br /> Information provided by the City of Stockton indicates that Union <br /> Oil Company of California (UNOCAL) previously owned one of the <br /> parcels and Morton Paint previously owned another parcel. It is <br /> our understanding that the third parcel has been owned by several <br /> individuals. We understand from conversations with personnel of <br /> UNOCAL that the UNOCAL-owned property was used as a-'bulk storage / <br /> plant. No additional information on the tanks that were <br /> previously at the site is available. Information supplied to <br /> Applied GeoSystems regarding the Morton Paint parcel indicates <br /> about 10 underground storage tanks were previously at the site. <br /> We have no information regarding the contents of these tanks.
