Work Plan for Environmental Investigation June 21, 1989 <br /> Waterfront Redevelopment, Stockton, California AGS 39048-1W <br /> Site Safety Plan <br /> Applied Geosystems will perform field work on behalf of the <br /> City of Stockton in accordance with a Site Safety Plan. This <br /> plan describes the basic safety requirements for the subsurface <br /> investigation and the drilling of soil borings at the work site. <br /> The Site Safety Plan is applicable to personnel of Applied <br /> GeoSystems and to subcontractors of Applied GeoSystems. The <br /> Applied GeoSystems geologist will be the Site Safety Officer <br /> onsite. Personnel at the site will be briefed on the contents of <br /> the Site Safety Plan before work begins. A copy of the Site <br /> Safety Plan will be kept at the work site and will be available <br /> for reference by appropriate parties. A copy of the Site Safety <br /> Plan is included in the Appendix to this Work Plan. <br /> Soil-Vapor Survey <br /> The Applied GeoSystems soil-vapor probe is designed to obtain <br /> indirect measurements of hydrocarbon concentrations in the soil <br /> by analyzing the soil vapor. The high number of variables <br /> associated with subsurface soil conditions preclude use of the <br /> soil vapor measurements with the same confidence as laboratory <br /> analysis of soil samples, but the pattern of relative <br /> 8 <br /> Applied GeoSystems <br />
