Finch, R.G.
Senior Hazardous Substances Engineering Geologist
Geologic Services Unit
DATE: December 6, 2000
SUBJECT: REVIEW OF ARCADY DISPOSAL SITE DRAFT SITE INVESTIGATION
'WORKPLAN DATED NOVEMBER 2, 2000.
The Geologic Services Unit (GSU) reviewed the above subject Report and has the following
comments:
I) Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) were tested using EPA Method 5035. The GSU
recommends Method 5035 using En-core, methanol preservation, etc. as a more accurate
technique instead of an onsite lab.
2) The GSU notes that no continuous bore holes to ground water were mentioned in the
report. Without continuous cores correlation becomes difficult.
3) Ground water contour maps are missing from the report and are needed to establish flow
directions. Site cross-sections are also needed.
O Printed on Recycled Paper
