GENESIS ENGINEERING&REDEVELOPMENT
Investigate if the extractable concentrations of the Title 22 metals and Hexavalent
Chromium in the waste drilling mud are below the applicable water quality standards;
a portion of the 24 composite drilling mud samples will be analyzed for the analyses
listed in Section 3.2; including WET and DI WET tests on the samples to analyze the
extractable concentrations of the Title 22 metals and Hexavalent Chromium using
both deionized water and citric acid extractions.
3. Groundwater Investigation
Collect three grab groundwater samples from borings DP- 6, DP-9, and DP-12 to
supplement the data collected from the groundwater monitoring wells; analyze the
samples for the analyses listed in Section 3.3.
Cal Install and sample 6 Monitoring Wells in the approximate locations of the
decommissioned Monitoring Wells (see Figure B-1); develop and sample the wells;
a`b`b analyze the samples for the constituents listed in Section 3.4.
P. —It
4. Tidal Influence Study
Conduct a tidal influence study on the uppermost water bearing unit to establish if
there is tidal flux in the unit; install water level recoding devices into selected
monitoring wells to record water level fluctuations.
5. Surface Water Investigation
Investigate the chemical composition of any surface water or potential runoff; collect
runoff samples during a rainfall event; analyze the samples for the constituents listed
in Section 3.5.
6. Background Sampling
Investigate background constituent concentrations in off-Site soil and groundwater;
advance 4 borings (DP-25 through DP-28) at the locations to be selected based on the
results of the Tidal Study and collect 3 soil samples from each boring—at 1 foot
below the drilling mud, 3 feet below the drilling mud, and in the vadose zone
immediately above the shallow water bearing unit; record soil lithology for each
boring; analyze the soil samples for the constituents listed in Section 3.1 and the
groundwater samples for the constituents listed in Section 3.4.
Sampling and Analysis Plan 2 of 24
DePaoli Property
November 14,2007
