GENESIS ENGINEERING &REDEVELOPMENT <br /> The drilling mud sample extractions will be analyzed for: <br /> 1. Title 22 Metals and Hexavalent Chromium. <br /> The analytical procedures, sample volumes, sample preservation, and holding times are <br /> presented in the Sampling and Analysis Plan. <br /> 2.3 Task 3 — Groundwater Investigation <br /> Since the existing groundwater monitoring wells were observed to be in a state of <br /> disrepair,prompting a general concern that they may become a source of impairment to <br /> the groundwater quality and/or constitute a safety hazard, the RWQCB and DTSC <br /> deemed it necessary to destroy the wells in compliance with the well destruction <br /> requirements set forth in San Joaquin County Well Standards (San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code Section 9-1115.6), dated February 2005. A Work Plan for Monitoring <br /> Well Destruction, DePaoli Property in included as Appendix E. <br /> Six new groundwater monitoring wells will be installed in the approximate locations of <br /> the destroyed wells. The monitoring wells will be installed in accordance with the <br /> procedures in the Sampling and Analysis Plan. Continuous logging of the soil lithology <br /> will be performed for each monitoring well. <br /> Following development of the monitoring wells, samples will be collected in accordance <br /> with the procedures in the Sampling and Analysis Plan. The groundwater samples will <br /> be analyzed for the following constituents: <br /> 1. Volatile Organic Compounds ("VOC"); <br /> 2. Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds ("SVOC"); <br /> 3. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline ("TPHg"); <br /> 4. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel ("TPHd"); <br /> 5. Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene (`BTEX"); <br /> 6. Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons("PAH"); <br /> 7. Oil and Grease; <br /> 8. Title 22 Metals and Hexavalent Chromium; and <br /> 9. Alkalinity, Calcium, Chloride,pH, Sodium, Potassium, Sulfate, Sulfide, Total <br /> Dissolved Solids, Total Hardness, and Conductivity. <br /> Site Investigation Work Plan 12 of 18 <br /> DePaoli Property <br /> November 14,2007 <br />
