GENESIS ENGINEERING& REDEVELOPMENT <br /> specialized hazardous waste operations management training on topics regarding GE&R's <br /> Health& Safety Program and the associated employee training, PPE, spill containment, and <br /> health hazard monitoring procedures and techniques. The Field Team Leader is responsible for <br /> coordination or daily Site activities including required safety preparations (such as utility checks <br /> and availability of test equipment). The Field Team Leader will conduct Site safety meetings in <br /> the absence of the CHSO. <br /> 2.3 Corporate Health & Safety Officer <br /> The CHSO is also responsible for disseminating the information contained in this HASP to all <br /> personnel assigned to the Project. The CHSO has the authority to suspend work any time that it <br /> is determined the provisions of this HASP are not being met. <br /> The CHSO is responsible for: <br /> • Overall Site safety <br /> • Enforcing safe work practices <br /> • Ensuring that Site safety meetings are conducted <br /> • Inventorying equipment and supplies <br /> • Accident investigation and reporting <br /> • Workers Compensation reporting <br /> • Reviewing the HASP for accuracy on a regular basis <br /> • The assessment of site hazards <br /> The CHSO shall review the requirements of this HASP during a health and safety meeting with <br /> all project personnel before each phase of the field activities begins. Attachment D-1,the"Field <br /> Health and Safety Form", will be completed for each health and safety meeting. Safe work <br /> practices, control of potentially impacted materials, and protection of personnel and property as <br /> described in this HASP shall be emphasized during the safety meeting. Field personnel will be <br /> required to sign a certificate indicating that they will comply with the provisions of the HASP. <br /> Subcontractors shall identify their Health and Safety Officer(CHSO)by name before the field <br /> activities begin. Telephone numbers of these individuals for emergency contact shall also be <br /> provided. <br /> 2.4 Project Personnel <br /> Subcontractors are responsible for ensuring that they completely understand how to safely <br /> perform all aspects of their job at the Site.
