NORCACONS YSICAL
CONSULTANTS
L
INC .
NORCAL
September 15, 1997
John Lynch
Wright Environmental
4220 Commercial Drive, Suite #5
Tracy, CA 95376
Dear Mr. Lynch,
This report presents the findings of the geophysical investigation performed by
NORCAL Geophysical Consultants, Inc. at the Stockton Multimodal Station Site in
Stockton, California. The investigation was conducted on August 27, 1997 and
September 2, 1997 by NORCAL Geophysicist Ted A. Heinse, and Technicians Mike
Wright, and Kim Hede.
The purpose of this investigation is to use geophysical methods to characterize
subsurface conditions and aid in determining whether underground storage tanks
(UST's), drums, or other buried debris exists at this site.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The Stockton Multimodal Station Site consists of four parcels, referred to a Parcels
1 , 2, 5, and 6. Wright Environmental provided a site map that included the parcel
designations and showed the approximate survey dimensions.
Parcels 1 , and 2
We incorporated Parcels 1 , and 2 into a single area of investigation. Plate 1 shows
the locations of the pertinent features associated with both Parcels. Parcels 1 , and
2 are located to the west of Sacramento Street, between East Miner and East Weber
Avenues. The area of investigation measures 610 feet (north-south) by 120 feet
(east-west) at it's greatest extent. This area covered by asphalt and is bound to the
west by a chain-link fence, to the east by a sidewalk, and to the northeast by the SP
Lines Building. Numerous surface metal objects exist within the area of investigation.
These objects include utility manways, various signs and posts, and parked cars.
Wood, metal debris, and other refuse is located along the chain-link fence to the west
and within the chain-link fence compound to the north.
1350 INDUSTRIAL AVENUE SUITE A • PETALUMA, CA 94952
TELEPHONE (707) 763-1312 • FAX (707) 762-5587
