SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnviron mental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Angela Barajas to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for her property located at <br /> 9684 and 9622 East Mariposa Road, Stockton, California. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Ms. Barajas intends to place a modular home on the Site as a second unit dwelling. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 181-050-11, 3.57 acres in <br /> size. The Site is located at 9684 and 9622 East Mariposa Road, Stockton (Plate 1). <br /> A three-bedroom home and several small outbuildings are currently located on the Site. <br /> A well and septic system serve the existing home (Plate 2). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 49 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 3). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AL- <br /> 5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of five acres. The San Joaquin <br /> County Community Development Department states that this zoning designation "is <br /> intended to recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small- <br /> scale agricultural operations and dwellings." <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> One septic system is currently located on the Site (Plate 2). <br /> LOGE 2122 Page 1 <br />
