OBSERVATION: -Oily liquid and <br />rags were observed inside the secondary containment for three 55 <br />gallon drums of used oil. -Oily pads were observed in the secondary <br />containment tray under the 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All facility communications or alarm systems, <br />fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and <br />decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and <br />maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br />emergency. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the secondary containment into <br />proper working order by cleaning up the oily spills, rags and <br />absorbent pads. Four 55 gallon drums of used oil <br />were observed with open bungholes. A black bucket of used oil was <br />observed in the chemical storage area with no lid. All hazardous waste <br />containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing <br />waste.
