All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of the food facility. #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility OBSERVATIONS: Observed rodent droppings on the floor in the following locations: in the electrical room and in the dry goods storage room (soda). Observed evidence of rodents (paw prints) on top of an electrical box in the electrical room. Immediately clean up all rodent droppings and wipe down the top of the electrical box, then clean and sanitize the affected areas. Electrical room was swept during the inspection, the electrical box was swept off during the inspection and the Store manager states she will continue to sweep up the dry goods storage room today (inventory tomorrow). Facility is serviced by Western Exterminators / Rentokil. The most recent service reports / invoices observed are dated: 5-24-21, 5-25-21, 5-26-21, 5-28-21, 6-2-21, 6-3-21 and 6-3-21 Continue current pest control management program until the issue is abated. A 2nd re-inspection will occur in 3 weeks (on or after 6-28-21). CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin: rodents (rats, mice), cockroaches, flies.( 114259.1, 114259.4, 114259.5) #45 Floors, Walls, Ceilings; Clean and Maintained OBSERVATIONS: Clean floors of all food and non-food debris. Correct ASAP. Address closure of rodent entry points as documented by Western Exterminators / Rentokil. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: The walls / ceilings shall have durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, light-colored, and washable surfaces. All floor surfaces, other than the customer service areas, shall be approved, smooth, durable and made of nonabsorbent material that is easily cleanable. Approved base coving shall be provided in all areas, except customer service areas and where food is stored in original unopened containers. Food facilities shall be fully enclosed. All food facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair.
