P. There were no detected concentrations of carbamates, organophosphates, or fumigants in any of
the soil samples collected for the applicable analyses from borings B-1 through B-8. Please refer
to Table 2 of this report for a complete listing of analyses and results.
Soil samples collected from the soil borings advanced during the installation of the monitoring
wells appear to also display typical background concentrations seen within California for the
metals included in this assessment. All of the detected metals concentrations were below the
average values for the listed metals in soil for California. Additionally, all of the metals
concentrations detected in each of the soil samples analyzed were below the PRGs. Please refer to
Table 3 for a complete listing of the metals analyses and results.
The analyses of the soil samples analyzed for the fertilizer constituents ammonia as N, nitrate as
N, TKN, nitrate+nitrite, total nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfate showed the following results.
Select Soil Results (Monitoring Well Soil Borings)
Analyte Concentrations (mg/kg)
Sample Location
and Depth
Ammonia as
N
Nitrate-as
NO3
Nitrate +
nitrite TKN Total
Nitrogen b
Phosphate Sulfate
PRG NA NA NA NA NA NA NA
MW-1-1' 4.8 16 4 500 500 73 70
MW-1-5' 1.6 14 3 200 200 14 40
MW-1-10' 2.1 7 2 ND<100 ND<100 ND<5 ND<10
MW-2-1' 156 864 195 800 1000 56 10
MW-2-5' 13.2 592 134 1000 1100 65 40
MW-2-10' 18 330 75 300 400 29 30
MW-3-1' 2.9 46 10 200 200 31 10
MW-3-5' 1.7 18 4 100 100 13 ND<10
ND = Not detected at or above the laboratory reporting limit.
NA = PRG not applicable to analyte.
6.1.3 GROUNDWATER RESULTS
The groundwater flow direction and gradient were assessed using the most recently data gathered
from the three monitoring wells installed on the site. The groundwater flow direction was
calculated using a 3-point triangulation method. The groundwater flow direction was calculated to
be towards the northwest with a gradient of approximately 0.001 feet per foot. The groundwater
gradient is considered to be relatively flat and consistent with the hydrogeology of the area.
