Site Health and Safety Plan <br />Countryside Market, Stockton, California March 21, 2014 <br />kneel on ground; don't lean, sit or place equipment on drums, containers, vehicles or the <br />ground which are contaminated or being used to store or handle contaminated material. <br />Try to remain upwind when collecting samples, venting wells, etc. It is important to avoid <br />contact with chemicals. <br />Medicine and alcohol can potentiate the effects from exposure to toxic chemicals. <br />Prescribed drugs should not be taken by personnel where the potential for adsorption, <br />inhalation, or ingestion of toxic substances exists unless specifically approved by a qualified <br />physician. <br />Non-disposable safety gear and equipment should be cleaned before taken offsite. <br />Equipment which comes in contact with contaminated soil or liquids will be cleaned and <br />placed in designated areas or containers. <br />Apex-SGI and subcontractor personnel shall be responsible for good housekeeping. The <br />work area shall be kept clean as possible during the course of field activities. It is <br />absolutely required that the area be left in a safe condition when leaving for the day as <br />certain areas could be subject to traffic during the nights and weekends. All work areas will <br />be provided with flashing barricades, fencing and/or other appropriate safety measures to <br />prevent unauthorized entry. <br />Before any machinery or electrical equipment is placed in use, it shall be inspected by a <br />competent person to be in a safe operating condition. If the machinery or electrical device <br />is not found to be in a safe operating condition or develops a problem, it shall be tagged <br />"out of service", removed from the Site and not used until the problem(s) is/are corrected. <br />Subcontractor personnel at the Site will abide by applicable safety standards for their <br />associated work. <br />Subcontractor personnel will perform daily inspections at the Site to insure compliance with <br />this HASP. <br />The number of individuals involved in the field operations should be kept to an appropriate <br />level. Observers should stand a safe distance upwind of the project activities. No <br />observers are allowed in these areas unless they are wearing OSHA/NIOSH approved <br />hard hats, appropriate safety glasses and other protective equipment. <br />A <br />HASP 21MAR2014 <br /> 3-2 <br /> APEX
