WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS ORDER NO. 5-00-226 -5- <br />COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 44 <br />CASTELLO ESTATES AKA APRICOT ACRES <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />A. Discharge Prohibitions: <br />Discharge of wastes to surface waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br />Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited. <br />Neither the treatment nor the discharge shall cause a nuisance or condition of pollution as <br />defined by the California Water Code, Section 13050. <br />The discharge shall not cause the degradation of any water supply. <br />Discharge of waste classified as hazardous, as defined in Sections 2521(a) of Title 23, <br />CCR, Section 2510, et seq., (hereafter Chapter 15, or 'designated', as defined in Section <br />13173 of the California Water Code, is prohibited. <br />Surfacing of wastewater in the subsurface disposal area is prohibited. <br />Only domestic wastewater shall be discharged to the wastewater treatment system. <br />B. Discharge Specifications: <br />The average dry weather discharge shall not exceed 30,000 gallons per day. <br />Objectionable odors originating at this facility shall not be perceivable beyond the limits <br />of the wastewater treatment area. <br />Treated wastewater shall not have a pH of less than 6.5 or greater than 8.5. <br />The Discharger shall operate all systems and equipment to maximize treatment of the <br />wastewater and optimize the quality of the discharge. <br />The wastewater disposal area shall be managed to control vegetation growth. Plant <br />growth shall be controlled through mowing. <br />The Discharger's wastewater treatment system shall be designed, constructed, operated, <br />and maintained to prevent inundation or washout due to floods with a 100-year return <br />frequency. <br />Signs shall be placed at the perimeter of the disposal area to notify the public of the <br />disposal of treated wastewater. <br />All transportation of sludge or other wastewater shall be performed by a duly authorized <br />service. <br />Operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant shall be overseen by a <br />licensed wastewater treatment plant operator.
