11 March 2014
AGE Project No. 96-0236
INJECTION WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Proposed pilot borings will be single-completed as shallow and intermediate injection
wells. The proposed shallow injection wells be screened at depths of approximately 10
feet to 25 feet bsg and the intermediate injection wells will be screened from 30 to 50
feet bsg. Depth of the screened intervals may vary or be reduced overall according to
hydrogeologic conditions encountered while drilling. Following installation, each well will
be developed to maximize water flow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment
drawn into the well during pumping or bailing, and to maximize the efficiency of ISCO
injections. As built diagrams of the proposed designs of the injection wells have been
included as Figures 21 and 22.
REMEDIATION WELL INSTALLATION REPORT OF FINDINGS
A report documenting the findings of the remedial well installations and development will
be prepared following performance of field work and receipt of all applicable data. The
report will include a description of work performed and the results of sampling and
analysis. Conclusions and recommendations will also be included, if applicable in the
report. All reports will be in a format acceptable to the EHD and CVRWQCB, and will be
reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
ISCO APPLICATION
Upon regulatory approval, AGE will conduct four initial tri-weekly ISCO applications
utilizing wells MW-1A/B, DPE-1, DPE-2, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-9, MW-15, MW-17
and the sixteen proposed injection wells. A 5% solution of hydrogen peroxide will be
applied to each well during the proposed four tri-weekly events. Baseline/background
and progress sampling will be performed using wells MW-1A/B, DPE-1, DPE-2, MW-2,
MW-3, MW-4, MW-9, MW-15, MW-17 and MW-19. Additionally, post-ISCO sampling will
be conducted two months following the performance of the final injection event. Field
parameters and laboratory samples will be collected and analyzed as described below:
Field Parameters:
Depth to water will be measured in shallow and intermediate groundwater
monitoring wells MW-1A/B, DPE-1, DPE-2, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-9, MW-15,
MW-17 and MW-19.
Prior to each purge volume, temperature, pH, TDS, oxygen reduction potential
(ORP), salinity, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen (DO) will be recorded at the
monitoring wells.
.4dvanced GeoEnvironmenta I, Inc.
