f
Board of Supervisors -3-
THE SOLID WASTE CLOSURE ENTERPRISE FUND
In a related manner, the Board of Supervisors on July 25, 1989,
approved Board Order B-89-1031, which authorized the Department
of Public Works to apply for the operating permits for the North
County Sanitary Landfill (NCSL). One of the permits, a Solid
Waste Facilities Permit, requires proof that a closure and
postclosure maintenance funding mechanism has been established
for the NCSL.
The proposed Resolution would add the NCSL sub -budget unit to the
SWEF, and meet the above requirement to obtain the Solid Waste
Facilities Permit.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Total Cost:
There is no fiscal impact on the SWCEF associated with the
adoption of the proposed Resolution.
ACTION FOLLOWING APPROVAL:
The Department of Public Works will transmit a copy of the
Resolution to the CWMB and the San Joaquin County Health
Department.
Very truly yours,
%%. 4a-ZE
HENRY . HIRATA
Director of Public Works
HMH:JP:as
L 9H141SWA2 (3)
