MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM FOR -3-
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
NORTH COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL
CLASS III LANDFILL
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
until the end of the rainy season. Surface water samples shall be
analyzed for the following:
Report in
Parameter/Constituent Units Of
Total Organic Carbon mg/l
Specific Conductance (field) Nmhos/cm
pH (field) pH units
Total Dissolved Solids mg/l
Hardness (as CaCO3) mg/l
Chlorides mg/l
Sulfates mg/l
Dissolved Iron mg/l
Manganese mg/l
Nitrate (as N) mg/l
GROUND WATER MONITORING
The following detection monitoring program shall be implemented at the
facility to determine compliance with the "water quality protection
standards". The initial monitoring network shall consist of "background"
monitoring well , G-1, and downgradient monitoring wells, G-2, and G-3. The
locations of these wells are shown on Attachment "B". More ground water
monitoring wells shall be installed as operations progress past the
initial fill modules 1 and 2. The locations of these new wells shall be
submitted to the Board for review and approval prior to installation. All
wells shall constitute the "points of compliance" with respect to ground
water. Samples from all monitoring wells shall be analyzed for the
following parameters and constituents at the indicated frequencies:
Sampling
Report in & Reporting
Parameter/Constituent Units of Freauency
Specific Conductance (field) Nmhos/cm Quarterly
pH (field) pH units Quarterly
Total Organic Carbon mg/l Quarterly
Total Dissolved Solids mg/l Quarterly
Ammonia (as N) mg/l Quarterly
Calcium mg/l Quarterly
Chloride mg/l Quarterly
Sodium mg/l Quarterly
