A follow-up telephone call between
yourself and Rudy Rodriguez of the County staff determined that
the Plan Drawing Sheets had been separated from the Plan Report;
you received the Report but not the plan sheets. Two copies of
the Plan Drawing sheets and Plan Report are herein forwarded to
allow for completion of the Board's I review.
To further address each comment, the following is offered:
1. The enclosed plans show the locations for the monitoring
wells.
2 . The background well is erroneously called G-3 in page 4 .
It should be G-1.
3 . The enclosed plans should clarify the location of
background well G-1 as being located on the east line of
the landfill. This location is intended as the permanent
background well location through the active site life and
post-closure period.
Additionally, since the ground water gradient is west
southwest, two additional wells will be installed in the
future. They will be strategically located to adequately
monitor all future module constructions. One well placed
along the west side of the landfill between modules 4 and
5 and one well placed on the south side of module 6 will
adequately monitor the sequenced module openings.
