10 May 2021
Project No. 21-6390
The subject property is situated approximately 10-miles west of the city of Stockton in the
west-central portion of San Joaquin County, California. Except for McDonald Island
Farms Gas Well No. 9, the 22-acre project study area is undeveloped.

2.1 POTENTIAL SITE PROBLEM ASSESSMENT

Water supply at the subject property parcel is currently provided to the PG&E gas storage
facilities by existing groundwater water wells. The wells are over 100 feet away from the
existing septic systems that serve each of the facilities. The PG&E gas storage facilities
are significant distances away from the project location and are not within the project
study area (Figure 2).

The proposed groundwater well in the project location will be installed approximately 155
feet away from the proposed septic system. The development of a commercial office
building and new septic system will not affect water currently being supplied to the parcel
areas.

3.0. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE

Existing septic systems at the subject property parcel are located at the Whiskey Slough
and Turner Cut Stations and are utilized by PG&E staff (Figure 3). However, the septic
systems are not located within the project study area and will not be discussed in detail
as part of this study.

The proposed septic system in the project study area is planned to be installed in the
southeastern corner of the project location (Figure 6). The proposed septic system will
consist of a 3,000-gallon septic tank with two compartments and five (5) 100-foot-long
leach lines. The septic system will be connected to the proposed commercial office
building that will be open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM; the septic
system will be utilized 260 days per year by approximately 40 full-time employees.

3.1. EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE

There are no existing septic systems located in the project study area.

3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY

Multiple liquid wastewater septic permits are on record at the EHD for the subject property
parcel. Selected EHD permits on record for 2121 Zuckerman Road, Stockton, California
are included in Appendix B.
