AdvancedGeo <br />Environmental <br />ggg <br />13 June 2018 <br />AGE Project No. 18-4433 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />AGE proposes to advance a total of nine (9) soil borings to total depths of twenty-five (25) <br />feet bsg on the subject property for the collection of soil, soil-vapor and groundwater. <br />Proposed boring locations are depicted in Figure 2. <br />Proposed borings will be advanced using a Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing unit. <br />Samples will be submitted to a California Department of Public Health (CDPH)-Certified <br />laboratory and will be analyzed for: <br />Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in accordance with EPA Method 8015. <br />Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B. <br />VOCs in accordance with EPA Method TO-15 (Soil-vapor). <br />PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br />Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the oversight agencies <br />(SJCEHD). In addition, a site-specific health and safety plan will be prepared in <br />accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste <br />Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. <br />Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, <br />each soil boring will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through <br />Underground Service Alert. <br />Prior to mobilization, the site will be clearly marked and a utility clearance will be obtained <br />through Underground Service Alert. The SJCEHD will be contacted a minimum of two <br />days prior to conducting investigation activities to arrange for grout inspection. <br />FIELD PROCEDURES <br />All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative working under the <br />supervision of a California Professional Geologist. Procedures for sample collection and <br />analysis, equipment decontamination and sample handling are presented below. <br />SOIL PROBE BORING ADVANCEMENT <br />Proposed soil borings will be advanced using a van mounted Geoprobe 5400 direct-push <br />probing unit equipped with 1.25-inch probing rods. The Geoprobe advances soil probe <br />borings using a hydraulic hammer to drive soil and groundwater sampling tools to <br />specified depths.
